How does it work?
Great question!  The way that it works is that we meet one-on-one once a week, for one-hour, for a total of eight weeks.  During that hour, I go over and demonstrate how to conduct the commands for the week with your dog.  After the demonstration, I then hand your dog back to you for you to emulate the motions and gestures performed in the demonstration.  Once you and I agree that you feel comfortable with the commands, then I will demonstrate the homework for the week.  This homework is designed to ensure progress with each command for each week.  This way it gets you and your dog more and more proficient each day as well as working more for verbal and physical praise rather than treats.

Get my dog to work for praise and not treats?  How do you do that?
Another great question!  This is achieved by meeting certain goals each day.  Once you meet or exceed the goal for the day, then you know you and your pet are ready to move on to the next days training sessions and goals.  By meeting or exceeding each day's goals, it ensures progress for each command and gets your dog used to working more for verbal and physical praise rather than treats.  By the end of the week, you and your pet will be proficient with the commands, working for verbal and physical praise, as well as being able to hold the command for a good amount of time and from a distance from you.

That sounds awesome!  Where or how do I sign up?
These are some great questions!  As you scroll down the page, you will see the different courses we offer.  Find the one that best suits what you need and click on the Sign Up button, fill out the information, and one of our representatives will contact you within 48 hours to schedule your course date.  If you would like more information or would like to know what our availability is, then you can call or text us at (858) 336-8639.  We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to the Inception K9 Academy family.

The course will also cover nutrition, health, and address any other at-home issues that may arise during the dog training course.  For this course, we will meet for one-hour a week for eight weeks.  If you would like more information, you can Contact Us here.  If you are ready to sign up for the course, Sign Up here and one of our representatives will contact you to schedule your training dates and times.

Off Leash Course

Our Off Leash (E-Collar) Dog Course is designed for those pet owners who want to take their dog training to the next level.  It is an advanced course that is designed to help control your pet during off leash situations.  Some of the situations in which you can use an e-collar for are playing at the park/beach, hiking, personal protection, or just everyday obedience commands in and out of the home.  With our off leash course, we ensure that you receive the proper training on how to utilize your e-collar as well as provide the upmost in safety of your pet.

How does it work?

If you have completed our Puppy Training Course or Dog Training Course, then great!  We can get started right away with training.  If you haven't completed one of our courses, that's okay.  What we will do is set up a date and time to conduct an evaluation of your dog's obedience capabilities in a distracted environment.  If your pet is able to conduct all the commands proficiently, in a distracted environment, and without  rewards (verbal and physical praise are acceptable), then we will accept your pet into this course.  If your pet is not able to pass these tests, then the trainer will recommend that you take one of our obedience courses or conduct a few private lessons before beginning this course.  The evaluation is $50 for a 30-60 minute evaluation.  Once the trainer has completed the evaluation, the trainer will then discuss your training options with you.  If you would like more information, you can Contact Us here.  If you are ready to sign up for the course, Sign Up here and one of our representatives will contact you to schedule your training dates and times.

Private Training Lessons

Our private training lessons are for those pet parents that are seeking out additional training that is not covered in any of our dog training or puppy training courses.  If you have an issue, would like to go over some of the basics again, or want additional training, then private lessons is the way to go.  With private training lessons, we will first start out with a 30-60 minute evaluation.  There is a $50 fee for the evaluation.  After this evaluation, the trainer will then discuss your training options, come up with a training plan, and tell you about our package deals.  If you have any questions, you can  Contact Us here.  If you are ready to have one of our representatives come out and conduct an evaluation of your dog, just click on Sign Up and one of our representatives will contact you to schedule you evaluation date and time.
